Today's post differs from others in that I have a request to make.
Of you, Dear Reader.
I will admit to being somewhat lackadaisical in regards to this blog, but it isn't easy to remain suitably enthused and motivated at times.
And this is where you come in as I would appreciate some feedback.
Something.
Anything.
Even criticism, if you are that way inclined.
However, what I would particularly appreciate is maybe some indication as to what you are more interested in reading about.
More shameless product placements? Anything in particular?
More hilarious tales of woe from living the life of a down-and-out PI?
Advice on some practical aspects of investigation?
Give me a clue as to what interests you and I'll see what I can do. It would be good to know, if nothing else, that some of the roughly 2000 page views a month are actual people and not all bots.
1. Funny tales of weridos are always good reading.
ReplyDelete2. The continued tale of Mr. Patton, as more develops on that story.
3. Book/Item reviews are also a safe bet. I have bought a couple of books based upon your recommendations. Also if you prove to have a large enough audience you might get sent things for free by companies (I think thats how it works)
4. If you feel like it, write the 'Origin' story of Mr. Anonymous PI.

1. Oh yes, they certainly are. And weirdos seem to be my specialty, sadly, so expect more there.
2. There should be more on Bernie Patton's continued adventures as I believe a combined investigation with other agencies/insurers may take place.
3. Roger that! I keep my eye periodically peeled for new books and items to purchase. Feel free to make suggestions if you come across anything of interest.
4.I kind of already did, I think. Will find it and post a link.
I, too, like the stories about weirdness you encounter on the job. Maybe some tips about observing stuff that seems insignificant but later turns out to be important. Your PI fiction was good enough to keep me wanting more, keep that up. I don't mind that you aren't so regular about posting, seeing an unexpected "It's not stalking..." email was the best thing that happened in a pretty lousy day.

DeleteWeirdness seems to be an occupational hazard, if not the norm, so can only expect there will be more tales in future.
Hmmm, I'll see what I can do re tips. Usually, and not wishing to disparage my own awesome powers of observation, it seems to rely on dumb luck.
As for PI fiction, yeah, I really do need to work on more of that.
