So, more of the same it is!

Heard back today in regards to my recent job application. It seems I was not quite the droid they were looking for.

Not entirely sure whether I should be relieved or disappointed so I'll err on side of caution and take it as a personal affront.

Wankers!

But I'm not one to hold a grudge...

In other news...

Well, Dear Reader, there's no danger of me going out there and getting a so-called 'real job' just yet.

Once again, my tender hopes to be a respectable and contributing member of society were cruelly crushed. To add insult to injury, I didn't even rate an interview for a position I am most suitably qualified and experienced for.

I'd like to say I'm not one to hold a grudge... but yes, that's exactly the kind of guy I am.

Some people say you shouldn't take these things personally but they don't get much more personal that this.

Wankers!

"It's not personal" my arse!

I received my first "fuck you" email in regards to an investigations job application I put in a couple of weeks ago.

Actually, they hated me so much they emailed the rejection twice.

Now I've been told that you can't take these things personally but when someone has looked at my application and had made a very conscious decision that I'm not good enough for them, how can you not?

It doesn't get any more personal that that!

Toot Toot!

I'm not normally one to be blowing whistles but recent events have angered me to the point of action. Action in the form of leaking sensitive information to a contact in the media for public dissemination.

It seemed like a good thing to do at the time.

However, I am somewhat conflicted - although I believe that there certainly is a case for some individuals, if not an entire organisation, to be held accountable - it also may burn some bridges that I could do with remaining intact.

Mainly, though, I'm personally aggrieved and really just pissed off.

So what's the story?

How I became a PI

Once, Dear Reader, before I was this jaded and world weary private investigator that I am today, I once had dreams and aspirations.

Hard to believe, I know.

In those heady days of unbridled optimism and thoughts of the shining and perfect future awaiting me, I was working towards a particular career path with a certain governmental agency who shall remain nameless.

Let's just say they are a bit spooky.
