Timing is everything

Well, rather than just sit there and bemoan my recent rejection, I went out and made a few phone calls to try and drum up some criminal defence work from a few Barristers that are frequently in the news.

Luckily that I did because one fetching young Barrister said that she was just thinking of looking for an investigator in regards to her latest Client.

So I now have a coffee appointment tomorrow to discuss the case.

Timing really *is* everything!

True story!

*sigh*

Deemed a 'no fault' accident as we were both reversing. Even though I saw him and stopped while he continued.

Oh well, at least insurance covers it.

Refusal may offend

I love language, with all its nuances, subtleties, and hidden meanings. And I love how some people will do their damnedest not to call a spade a spade, even to the last.

Let's take Crystal (most assuredly not her real name), who is currently the subject of an investigation regarding some irregularities around an insurance claim.

A lawyer complains about the cost - True Story!

Talk about ironic but I still can't get over this little gem.

I get a call from a lawyer I regularly work for. They have a Court Injunction that has to be served on a Company's registered office that very day, no later than 1pm, in order to stop the transfer of several hundred thousand dollars that should be going to their client. Can I help?
