Truth be told, I'm not really all that fond of whiskey anyway so no loss there.
However, these are supposedly the staple of the lone gumshoe - according to decades of propaganda - and I'm left wondering where it all went wrong?
As for cigars, I'm quite partial to the odd Cohiba Robusto but as a general non-smoker, restrict myself to one a year, at best. Actually, I don't think I've partaken in the last couple of years, so I may be somewhat overdue for a treat.
Although I have confessed my lack of affinity for that humble malted barley liquor, I'm always open to suggestion for something new to try (bearing in mind that I'm traditionally a vodka, or gin, kind of guy).
There is a local whiskey emporium that runs tasting sessions on a frequent basis, and reasonably priced. I think I might go along to one and otherwise educate my palate.
What could possibly go wrong?
And don't get me started on girls...
Girls, whiskey and cigars are my favourite things! Although I tend to actually smoke a pipe instead.
